Thank you for your generous contribution on the 2006 Brazilian Carnival Ball, the 40th anniversary of this Toronto tradition. The evening was an outstanding success in so many ways, and resulted in a new investment of $2 million into the Accolade Project and fine arts student support.
The Accolade Project within the Faculty of Fine Arts at York University, is a state-of-the-art teaching, exhibition and performance complex that will play a key role in fostering tomorrow's creative talent -- the very talent that will redefine Canadian arts ad culture.
We are pleased to enclose a copy of the 2006 Brazilian Carnival Ball Magazine that will be kindly distributed by The Globe and Mail as part of their media sponsorship on Thursday, June 29th. The advertising revenue generated by the Magazine made a significant contribution to the overall success of the Ball. The Magazine, generously sponsored by HSBC Bank Canada, beautifully demonstrates the celebrations at the Ball, in addition to highlighting York University and the Accolade Project.
